BeHASSTic is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides a comprehensive platform dedicated to filling the gaps in traditional educational programs in Humanities, Arts, Social Science, and Technology (HASST). Recognizing the importance of inclusive education, we offer the opportunity to explore over 50 different topics--including cultures, languages, history, ethics, philosophy, civilization, arts, and technology--to any student, anywhere, 100% free of cost. Our diverse programs not only help students advance in these fields, but empower them to become leaders at BeHASSTic and in their communities. We are committed to providing high-quality programs, with no more than 10 students per teacher, so that instructors can interact with every student in every class. Students are and will always be the core of our organization; their requests for new courses create the roadmap for our programming. When a student comes to us with a request for a new course, we will always try our best to provide it. In addition to courses, BeHASSTic utilizes platforms such as a blog, podcasts, workshops, and social media to promote awareness and learning in the humanities, arts, social science, and technology (HASST). Through our website and social media presence, we compile and provide free resources specifically tailored to underrepresented groups, and do our best to make all of these resources known and accessible to anyone who can benefit from them. Providing equity in education is a core part of our mission. Every week, our volunteers visit our local partnership organizations to serve as teachers and role models for disadvantaged students. We also run two weekly computer science clubs for girls in partnership with Girls Who Code, striving to empower young girls with the capabilities and confidence to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
