Bo-Jun (June) Qin

June is a senior at Darien High School. She began her piano studies with Li-Pi Hsieh at the age of six. As a young pianist, she performed at both Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York. She attends the annual Young Musicians Festival in Fairfield, CT and has earned top marks from judges for ten consecutive years. On the music theory side, she has passed the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) theory exams with high marks up through level nine. June has studied art with John Tang since the age of eight. Her artwork received recognition from Scholastic Art and Writing Awards and Heart to Art. As a volunteer, June is dedicated to sharing her passion for the arts with her local community. At BeHASSTic, she teaches online RCM theory classes, brings arts and crafts activities to the Norwalk Carver Community Center, and performs at senior centers. Outside of academics and volunteering, she enjoys playing golf, both competitively and leisurely, and conducting astrophysics research.
